On the occasion of the birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former leaders and activists of the banned Awami League and its affiliated organizations distributed food among the destitute in the capital. The food distribution program took place in Dhaka’s Agargaon area on Tuesday, shortly before Iftar.
According to reports, approximately 30 to 35 former leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) participated in the initiative. After handing out Iftar and food items to the underprivileged in Agargaon, the banned BCL members gathered on the street bordering the southern side of the National Parliament Building. There, they organized a special prayer (Doa) and Milad Mahfil to pray for the departed soul of Bangabandhu.
A number of former BCL student leaders were present at the food distribution and prayer program, including Mizanur Rahman Jony, Dr. Enayet Ullah Tushar, Nasim Al Momin Rupok, S.M. Abdur Rahim, Anwar Hossain, N.I. Saikat, Nurunnabi Raju, Fuad Bin Jamal, Sajidul Islam Sabuj, Bapon Das, Enamul Haque Prince, Amirul Islam, Md. Ruhul Amin, Omar Faruq, and Nitol, among others.
